We stopped in for lunch. My wife had the beef brisket and i had combo ribs and chicken wings. Both were tasty, succulent and generous enough to take some home for later. The waitress was attentive and helpful with suggestions. The restaurant is small, and seems to have a sizable local clientele. If we lived in the area we would make this a regular stop!

The Brisket was AMAZING!! We have been looking for a BBQ place for 5 years now. This place is IT. Great service, super friendly staff, and delicious food.

I visited this place when it first opened. They were will working out some kinks, it seemed, but the barbecue was still pretty legitimate. It's always a good sign to be able to see the wood pile as you pull into the place, so that was a welcoming first glance. The brisket was killer. Moist, tender, and served with a tasty au jus. The smoke flavor was perfect -- noticeable, but not overpowering. The ribs tasted fine, but they were substantially overcooked. Ribs should stay on the bone, and stay together, when picked up. These fell apart. Still, they were reasonably tender, and I was a fan of the seasoning they used when cooking. Sauces were just fine. I'm not really a sauce guy, so I am probably not the best person to ask. Overall, I enjoyed my visit here. The staff is friendly, and they are serious about the business.

Delicious! I'm from the south and man the BBQ and SWEET TEA were awesome. I will definitely coming back here. Probably weekly. Prices are great, especially for the quantity of food. AUTHENTIC.

We had to try this place after reading an article on them in the local paper, everything sounded so good! After an hour drive (through an awful SW Florida rainstorm) we arrived. The restaurant was very homey. The wait staff made you feel like you were at their home- all very sweet, lovely, and helpful. We each had the three-item plates. Chicken, home made sausage, pulled pork, brisket and ribs between the two of us. The brisket was our fav of the items, but like all the other items, we found it was lacking flavor. We (my husband) does a lot of smoking meats at home, so we know what smoked food should taste like. Although everything was moist, it was all lacking that 'smoked' flavor, and other than the chicken, there was not much seasoning on any of it. The ribs were not good at all. Like another reviewer, I found they fell off the bone but not in a good way. They tasted like they had been steamed or boiled, not from a smoker. I'm hoping this was just an off night as they said they had been busy since the news article came out. Maybe they had to rush to restock their meats? It does take a long time to make some of this stuff! We will try again in a few months.

A real, down-home country atmosphere. The waitresses are extremely friendly, the kind who you would expect to call you "honey" (altho I can't recall whether they did). Everything was fine. Others were very pleased with their brisket. My pulled pork was satisfactory. The sides were very good. I thought it rather pricy though. A full rack of ribs was $32. In Columbia, MD, where I live, can get a full rack of the best ribs I ever ate at a very upscale, beautiful restaurant with real gourmet sides for $28. However, I would go back.

We think the cook and the food are exceptional in skill and authentic flavor! It is very tasty and reasonable. It is clean n bright w a location midpoint between SJC and Bokeelia. Great parking! We have eaten here several times. The items we find ourselves less thrilled about can't be explained well. The atmosphere is not warm? Not cozy? The vibe is odd? We don't know ..but we feel uncomfortable and don't linger. It feels like this cute spot might not survive the off season and that the umph might be gone--

We found this place driving out to Pine Island and decided to give it a try. Being from Texas, I am admittedly fussy about my BBQ. Decent BBQ in Florida has been hard to come by but now and then you come across a place that gets it right. The brisket here was excellent being very tender and tasty with just enough smoked flavor. They have a really good mango BBQ sauce that went well with the brisket. We also tried the grouper Ruben and found it to be tasty as well. Overall I was pleased and will likely return to dine here once again.
